Quotations
A quotation is valid for thirty days and is based on what could be seen at the survey. A change to the scope, the materials or the condition of the timber found on strip is a change to the price. Prices include VAT at the prevailing rate.
Timber and hidden conditions
Battens and rafter feet cannot be assessed until the roof is off. The quotation states a per-metre rate and an allowance; anything beyond that allowance is agreed with you in writing before it is fitted, not billed afterwards.
Scheduling and weather
Roofing dates move for weather, and we will not open a roof we cannot make watertight the same day. Where a start slips, the next available date is offered rather than the job being part-opened.
Guarantee
The manufacturer guarantees the materials on its own terms; we guarantee our workmanship separately. Both documents are handed over at completion. Ours runs ten years and covers workmanship, meaning leaks traced to how the roof was fitted. It excludes storm and impact damage, movement in the structure underneath, and anything altered by someone else. Nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Insurance claims
Where the work is the subject of a claim, we document the damage and will meet your loss adjuster on site. We are not regulated claims handlers and do not negotiate with your insurer on your behalf. The contract is between you and us regardless of what the claim settles at.
Site conditions
Access for a skip and a materials drop, and a clear working area around the house, are the homeowner’s responsibility. Scaffolding is included in the quotation unless stated otherwise. Standby time caused by access being unavailable is chargeable.
Cancellation
Where a contract is agreed at your home rather than at our yard, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you fourteen days to cancel. If you ask us to start inside that period you may be charged for work already done.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
