Stand on a roof deck before you buy one.
A single tile in a brochure tells you nothing about how a colour reads across a whole slope. Ours stand full size, outdoors, in daylight, at the pitch they will actually be laid at.
What is standing

A full-size tiled slope
Laid at 30 degrees on real battens over real membrane, so you see the shadow line the tile actually throws rather than the one in the brochure photograph.

A standing seam panel run
Full length, double-locked, on clips. Push on it. That is how much a 0.7 mm panel moves, and why it is not fixed through the face.

A leadwork bay
Soakers, cover flashing, a valley and a chimney back gutter, cut away so you can see how the layers lap. This is the part of a roof that leaks, and the part nobody is ever shown.

The colour rack
Every tile and slate we fit, full size, outdoors. Colour reads differently at 9am and at 5pm, and differently again when it is wet. The rack is outside for that reason.
Visiting
The yard is at Unit 6, Bar End Industrial Estate, Winchester. Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5pm. Saturday visits by appointment. Email us the week before and bring a photograph of your roof, or just the address and we will pull it up.
