Project 03
Rooflights replaced and re-flashed
Four tired rooflights taken out and replaced while the roof was open, each one re-flashed with the kit for that tile profile instead of the mastic it arrived with.

The problem, and the number
Every one had been sealed rather than flashed, and every one was wet at the head. Mastic is what you find on a rooflight that has already leaked once: it buys a season, and then the same call comes back in the first sideways rain.
The new units have the underlay dressed into the frame and the manufacturer kit matched to the tile profile. The head flashing sheds over, the tiles lap onto it, and nothing anywhere depends on a bead of anything.
