Storm repair and dry ridge upgrade
Wind took the ridge tiles and two courses below them. Sheeted the same day, repaired the week after, and the ventilation put right while the ridge was open.

The problem, and the number
Wind takes the ridge first because that is where the uplift is highest and where a mortar-bedded tile has nothing but the mortar holding it down. The emergency call is about keeping water out of the loft; the repair call, a few days later, is about why the ridge let go in the first place.
Here it was exactly that: sand and cement, no clips, no screws, bedded some time in the eighties and cracked all along its length. It went back as a dry ridge to BS 8612, mechanically fixed and ventilated, and the eaves gap was opened up to balance it.
